Island Foghorns Toastmasters Club (Newport, RI)
 Everyone interested in developing or polishing their public speaking skills!
 Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization that helps people develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests.
 Develop better speaking, listening and leadership skills, and think faster on your feet in all situations!
 At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking! Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, give impromptu speeches, present prepared speeches, and offer constructive evaluation in a friendly, supportive environment.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Island Foghorns will be meeting at our regularly scheduled time at the Middletown Police Station Community Room, located at 123 Valley Road.
 Saturday, July 17, 2010Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) is a training seminar held by each Toastmasters District to ensure that incoming club officers are prepared to meet their responsibilities. There is a TLI at Salve Regina University from 8am-noon. This is the only summer TLI that will be held in Rhode Island. It is highly recommended that all club officers attend this training. Though this training is geared toward newly elected club officers, any member of the club is welcome to attend and bask in the Toastmaster experience. These sessions are usually pretty fun, and you learn alot from them. Plus it's just around the corner from our club! Take advantage of this opportunity!! It's very rare that one is held so close to us!
